My life currently has a lot to do with metro rides as i spend more than 3 hours travelling in it everyday. This mode of transportation is a heavenly feeling when you compare the burning heat outside and the AC the metro has…

Music n books must have never felt more important until they began to entertain the routine commuters who travel in the metro regularly. In my early days of work, I used to wonder why people sprint from one platform to the other but now yes i know the secret of the same THOUGH i still don’t run. And the most interesting part is that getting in and out of the metro door is an adventure and challenge. It’s a skill one has to develop. And its worse than a situation of war where there is no mercy shown towards the contenders. And HAHAH the limited seats provided add humour to the people who are standing and kind of would fall every time the break is applied. But yes one thing to appreciate is that there are a lot of seats and respect given to the senior citizens and the disabled.

Every successful day of travel in the metro was like a memory made. A few scenes that ive captured in my memory and worth mentioning are:

• Met an old friend who i used play basketball with. She used to be the best in the game. My team considered it to be a pain whenever we played against her team n her.  And she was a whole reason why we performed well in the Mini-State level matches that i was a part of.
• It was a real moment of satisfaction to see the old ladies laughing.. They seemed to be best friends or may be close kin. But they gave me a ray of hope that there are relations/friendship that lasts longer than we think today.
• When I saw the crippled in wheelchairs. They don’t stop their journey because they are crippled but still show the courage to travel and reach their destination.

Sometimes I also manage to travel without having a glance at a known face. Life seems to be lonely those times and an actual realization of India’s population happens when you see the big crowds.

I got to see people of different nations, colour and religion who speak different languages. If you are a good observer and you enjoy learning from people from a distance then metro ride is a must for you.

This metro ride has also given me plenty of time to contemplate on my life and plan my future. The files saved in my brain are checked and rechecked and the unwanted or corrupet ones are sure erased like a  complete cleanup process.

To start with, Surprisingly i never had misconceptions about ‘work’. Work is what i call a PITA- Pain in the ass. I always believed in working smart and NOT working hard. I always looked for alternatives and loopholes the moment i even got a hint that i am going to be given some work. May be i was born lazy and never wanted to be a ‘Donkey worker’. And Teena would happily agree that she has not yet met another lazy one like that of my level.  She comes with rules like “U neva fill water bottles ever… So next three times U do it or dont drink water..” But again I’m too good to even act like i heard her :p Okey i think I’m lost and can’t exactly figure out the intention behind writing this post..

Oh yes.. completely contrasting the first paragraph, I realize I did have misconceptions; about work and myself. I am not an indolent soul at work. I like tasks like I like my every meal. I relish having it and feel content after finishing it. (I said meal here as food is my (secret) First Love) Again Teena would happily agree that i can even kill her if its for food and that i can eat a meal for two alone.

Work is fun when its of your interest or when you know it is even a small step to your ultimate goal in life. I enjoy learning like i enjoy VEGETARIAN food (yes food is my weakness).. Now, Teena would say i suck as i am a veggie and its her SUPER bad luck that many a times she has to eat veg-food when we are broke and there is a need to share food.   (@Teena- i said ‘SUPER’ for u)

I can’t probably conclude without mentioning some very few people i worked with
Corporate Voice Weber Shandwick – Got to learn a lot under Amit & Mona who actually re-affirmed my choice of getting into PR.
Edelman: Technology Dept: Vidhi, Lakshita, Prasidha( @Teena- who btw Shez a mallu too)& Ambika aka Amby. They are fun even though they pour a load of work to the interns. Learning is at its best here in Edelman and people you work with always make you contented  (So far so true!)

Sunburn 2010

This is a memory, I have also captured through my eyes.. The best lens ever made..

I had no clue about this largest electronic music festival that people would go “EEeeeeee!!! YeeeeyyYyyyy !!!” about until the evening of 27^th December 2010. I entered the Candolim area with my best of friends and waited for the tickets having not even a single bit of knowledge of what happens there. I am not ashamed to write here that I have never enjoyed ‘that kind of music’ (that was what I used to call it then) nor had not known any artist or track it that genre that was to be performed there by the international DJs.

As I got in.. I remembered some lines from one of my favourite poems..

When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host, of (not golden daffodils) crazy people..

But people who were extremely happy about their life for a reason they were present at that place that evening..

Along the margin of a bay:

Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
(Tossing)banging their heads in (sprightly dance)trance music.

The waves beside them danced;

Yes that was the best part.. We know that it was happening beside one of the most ‘happening’ beaches in Goa.

In no time my friends went out of control.. They enjoyed the music more than me. The moment I heard the so called ANTHEM of Sunburn.. I just went OUT-OF-CONTROL too.. as it was one of my favourite tracks by Nadia Ali- Is this love.. That’s actually when I realized what Sunburn was, and why it meant a lot to lot of crazy people. There is no better place to be for a holiday with your outraged and high on zeal friends. “(rage40)”

To see people of different colour, nationality, language, and style; enjoy under one platform and revel in their favourite music was a sight and experience.

If you ask me whether I wish to be there again? Hell Yea!!

I fell in love with Trance music.. and more in love with my friends for taking me there..!

Note: I am aware that what I’ve written here is not what one would call as correct usage of the funny language known as English.

In life, knowingly or unknowingly, by chance or by choice we fall into various relationships. Our relationship with our family and kin are by chance and one can’t possibly deny them. And that according to me is the most beautiful form of relationship. Relationships are of many kinds like friendly, romantic, formal (business), and the one I discussed above. Life becomes interesting when these relationships provide you different levels of emotions at different junctures. Our efforts we put in converting all the emotions to a single one called peace make our life meaningful and keep us going.

Let me share my knowledge about one kind which is truly one of its kinds.

Me & friend`ship’

I’ve been blessed with a lot of friends in my life who have been a support to me in their own ways at different stages. In friendship you grow, grow together into different individuals. Some friends move away due to those differences but some have the bond and the skill to hold on. And today I realise the importance of something called Priority in friendship. We have to know which of our friend is more important and who comes prior to whom. Because in life you always would get situations where you need to choose and that is the time when you fumble and mess up. This applies to those people who have more than one or two close friends. Relationship may last long or may not, but should end up being special. The days don’t matter, what matter is the moments. And if they are worth cherishing, you were in friendship.

I would not like to go any further explaining other forms of relationship as I’ve not experienced it enough to explain or share my thoughts on that.

I always had a passion for freezing or capturing special moments and beauty in my heart.. As i grew i had an urge to learn photography and capture these in a way that we can visually relive them. This is a small attempt of the same using my Canon D350..

Life always is not necessarily filled with merry moments. Life also consists of true emotions, unfortunate circumstances, unforgivable mistakes, and sometimes you feel like you are at the end of life and you have nothing to look forward for. And at times you feel you lost the innocence in you. But life has to go on and you have to move on.

Sometimes life does not give you a second chance as in our favourite Bollywood movies. These movies make you believe life to be nothing less than perfection. But in real world, the amount of determination required to overcome all the misfortunes and failures takes a lot of nerve and not all find success in doing that.

The problem with human mind is that it cannot take a ‘no’ for an answer. Like when you ask a question, you always want to hear a ‘Yes’, but we forget the fact that there is also a ‘No’ side to it. When we make mistakes, we expect the other person to always forgive you but we fail to realize there are times when you are not forgiven. When there is an accident, there are times when you don’t get back on your feet. The day our mind starts accepting the other sides, life is no more SURREAL.
